Donate Items to the Not-So-Silent Auction

The Not-So-Silent Auction takes place each year at the AHIMA Annual Convention and runs over the course of three days. In 2009 alone, over 130 donations were collected from State Component Associations, corporate sponsors and AHIMA members. The auction brought in over $31,000, all of which went directly to the AHIMA Foundation Merit Scholarship Program, expanding educational opportunities to outstanding undergraduate students pursuing degrees in health information management and health information technology.

Donations include jewelry, artwork, personal electronics and many other popular items. Not only will your donation help fund the education of future HIM professionals, it will also benefit your organization in the form of recognition and acknowledgement:

  • Exposure through on-site promotion of the auction
  • Listing as an auction donor in the AHIMA Foundation Annual Report
  • Listing on AHIMA’s convention website and on the AHIMA Foundation website
  • Acknowledgement on the donated item's bid sheet

Additionally, items with a retail value of $300 or more will receive the above recognition, plus the following:

  • A link to your organization's website from the auction listing on the AHIMA Foundation website
  • Your organization's logo on the donated item's bid sheet
  • Your booth number on the donated item's bid sheet

Donating to the Not-So-Silent Auction is easy! Submit the online auction donation form, or visit the AHIMA Convention website for more information. Once your donor form is received, your spot will be reserved in the auction. For further information, please contact Lisa Mendelsohn at (312) 233-1585 or lisa.mendelsohn@ahimafoundation.org.
