Council for Excellence in Education (CEE)
In 2002, the Education Strategy Committee (ESC) was formed. Nine years later the group voted to establish a new structure that became the Council of Excellence in Education (CEE). The CEE was created to enhance the health information management (HIM) profession, plan for its future through education, and provide HIM pressionals with a way to get involved in the process.
The AHIMA Foundation has a distinguished history of providing crucial financial support across the industry. We provide funding that helps develop the next generation of HIM professionals, increases the skills and advances the careers of HIM professionals, facilitates research for the betterment of the HIM industry, and provides assistance to students pursuing advanced degrees related to HIM.
The AHIMA Foundation offers merit scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students pursuing degrees in health information administration and health information technology. Scholarships are also available to CAHIIM-accredited credentialed health information management professionals pursuing graduate degrees in an area related to HIM practice.
