To be the pre-eminent foundation in health information leadership, policy and research for the healthcare industry and the public.

We realize our Mission by focusing our efforts on programs and initiatives that reflect the priorities of the AHIMA Foundation: analyze policy and initiate research to improve HIM practices and advance the profession; create and provide leadership initiatives by offering HIM leadership training and financial support and by providing recognition to those who excel in the HIM field; and grow and strengthen the Foundation so that we can continue to advance all areas of HIM.
