Nadine Caputo

Nadine Caputo, MS, Director of Research and Development for the AHIMA Foundation, is a health services researcher and administrator with extensive experience in private and government funded health research programs.  In her position with the Foundation, she co-leads the Policy and Research Institute and directs multiple collaborative health information management initiatives.   Previously, Ms. Caputo directed an AHRQ funded ACTION network for the Health Research and Education Trust, an affiliate of the American Hospital Association. In her previous position at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), Ms. Caputo managed collaborative research partnerships with academic centers in the areas of quality, cost and utilization. Prior to BCBSA, she was the Director of Quality and Outcomes Research at the American Dietetic Association and the Director of Evaluation and Planning for Illinois’s Quality Improvement Organization overseeing quality of care studies in the Medicare and Medicaid populations.Ms. Caputo earned an MS in Medical Psychology from the University of Illinois at the Medical Center.  She has co-authored several publications that describe the results of her collaborative research studies.
