The Research Training Boot Camp
The AHIMA Foundation is proud to offer the Research Training Boot Camp, an intensive, interactive three-day working session for HIM professionals. The Training Program is a unique opportunity to develop research skills, learn about acquisition of grant funding and experience working collaboratively with a research team.
The Research Training Boot Camp will take place June 23-25, 2010, at the AHIMA Foundation Headquarters in Chicago, IL.
This unique program developed by the AHIMA Foundation will teach participants to:
- Understand the sources of funding and navigate the “alphabet soup” of the grant application process
- Communicate goals and objectives by properly framing the research question
- Develop the skills and tools that are needed after a grant is awarded
- Acquire vital contacts and receive invaluable networking opportunities with classmates and research agencies
- Obtain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the American Health Information Management Association
Registration for this program requires a $300 deposit. Registrants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree plus two years of relevant experience.Space is limited, so qualified applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis
